HR Generalist

Position Summary

This position provides and enhances Propel HR's human resources services to clients through developing and maintaining HR processes. Responsibilities include providing oversight for employee new-hire processes and unemployment claims management for clients in addition to supporting HR Service team with HR project work as needed. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Supports HR team for client new hire onboarding process and client training.
  2. Assists with drafting and updating client documents (i.e. handbooks, job descriptions and forms).
  3. Provides HR guidance to clients relating to employee relations, employee corrective actions, terminations and other issues.
  4. Manages unemployment claim process for clients from initial electronic set-up through employer response.
  5. Offers research support to HR team for compliance and best practice updates; organizes and maintains internal HR library of resource documents and templates
  6. Provides reports, analysis, Excel spreadsheets, dashboards etc. to HR team as needed
  7. Processes employment and wage verifications for clients as needed
  8. Assists with weekly E-verify audits for client I-9 process; partners with internal team to gather missing paperwork as needed.
  9. Assists with special projects and responding to client questions/needs as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or other business-related field
  • 3-5 years HR experience preferred with strong writing skills
  • PHR or equivalent preferred
  • HR Technical Skills to include HRIS experience; knowledge of Kronos SaaShr preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Adobe Creative Cloud, Prezi preferred
